Follow our trails to Fort Jesus (now a National Museum), the Old Harbor where you may see the traditional Arabic Dhows at the docks. The most interesting part of this tour is that tall buildings with ornate intricately carved balconies overshadow the narrow streets and alleyways. The tour also includes visits to mosques and Hindu temples.
Depart in the evening and board a traditional Dhow. Sail down Tudor Creek ending up at Fort Jesus where you can enjoy a sound and light show whilst having your dinner.
Transfer from the Hotel to the Tamarind Restaurant where you will board the Dhow. Sail down Tudor Creek past Fort Jesus. A wonderful seafood dinner is served on board the dhow whilst a live band entertains you.
Pick up from the hotel in the early
morning and drive south to a tiny fishing village not far from the Tanzanian border. A
Swahili sailing ship (Dhow), now motorized for flexibility, carries you through an
enchanting seascape of islets and reefs to the marvels of the under water world of Kisite.
After snorkeling, you are served a gargantuan seafood lunch on the ancient island of Wasini.
If you wish you can visit the Muslim village at Wasini. Return to your hotel in the late
afternoon.
